Sunchase - Friday 16 September 2011
Winners of the Alice Springs Sunchase Model Solar Car and Solar Boat events are eligible to compete in the National Challenge and their travel to the National Championship is subsidised.
There is generally also a kit car "Mini Challenge" race. This is meant for those students keen on having a bit of fun with easier to build kit solar cars. Additionally, Alice Springs hosts a Model Solar Boat race!
Fire Brigade to the rescue...
Special thanks goes to the Alice Springs Fire brigade for their help in setting up the boat tank and filling the tank on the morning of the event.
